    Having played other SMPs in the past as well as GC(for the past 2 days) I often grow weary of the town shop. Often, prices set there are hardly competitive, a stark contrast to servers with personal shops. I suggest that GC provides players the ability to set shops, perhaps through a Helper/"License". This License should also allow players to set public warp points that are permissible. Through these public warp points made available on command(/shop list), players would then be able to travel to a secure shop set up by the owner, and purchase/sell/trade at that location. The location should also have chest shops that allow for an economy available even when the owner is offline. Here are some possible questions I foresee being asked:

    1. What if people start trolling with warps that lead to death?
    Ans: Helpers are available to moderate the warp points and warp points can only be set upon approval of a helper. OR A general market to set chest shops is constructed around spawn.

    2.What if the owner suddenly quits GC with no aforementioned notice?
    Ans: The warp point would then be less popular and slowly die down. OR The general market resets every 1 day for example.

    3. What if owners set an absurd price?
    Ans: As a free economy, people would simply avoid that place in future.

    4.Why should we(the admins) actually bother with this?
    Ans: For reasons that are obvious; an economy with this suggestion would be brimming with player-player interactions. The shops also allow others to contribute in other ways like setting shops/farms/mob generators.
    Instead of playing as the typical "PVP-er" or "Builder" or "Miner" types.

    5.Why does the /Trade function not suffice?
    Ans: The Trade function requires both parties to be online and aware of each other's conditions. In lieu of the hectic server in GC, there is hardly any time/space to discuss such conditions. With the proposed introduction of chest shops, players need not bother with such mundane tasks. They can either accept the conditions or leave. The chest shops also allow for multiple simultaneous dealings with other clients and overall, result in greater spending. (AKA Economic Growth)

    This would not work for 1 its factions! Like it will be raided
    secondly if it were unraidable i would make a shop put absurd prices and store all my loot there so that no one will be able to
    steal all my sets etc
    If killing were allowed in these 'shops' dont u think it would be a gamble to even enter 1 buy something and have someone kill u to get it 1 second after?
    i mean like this would break factions conpletely
    this is more of a survival idea
    We should first put our attention to a Looting 3 bow as that would be so awesome :D

    What if it was claim-protected?

    How about the inability to withdraw anything once the chest shop is set?

    PVP can be disabled in the shop, or like I mentioned an alternative, we could host plots of land for rent around spawn!

    if it had an average faction protection then it could be raided easely or even overclaimed
    It gives people the coordenates of your base! thus they will raid it
    And back to the pvp/raidability
    pvp should always be activated there are no acceptions
    and if it werent raidable then everyone would have 1 of these unraidble places where they can store all of their items with no fear of losing them
    currently i have an unclaimed vault say if i were to take 54 Protections iv sets and throw them in the shop for 50k a piece
    dont u think that would be op

    @DeStorm_108 Hmm... but we have /warp freefood and /warp workshop.

    we could have rent and a universal market at spawn so its kinda like /warp shop but with other players? If people rent a chest to place their items inside, it would take them an entire day to recollect it. In my opinion, the waiting time is far worse then storing them, and since you can only store one type of thing in a chest, its hard to store several valuables. In the event that even this solution is undesirable, I suggest that no enchanted equipment can be sold. The market could purely consist of things like wood for sale.

    This is not how Factions work. Chest shops are more suited to survival or semi vanilla servers for that matter.
